Pt.5 Pamoja Youth Foundation Street Festival African Rappers In July of '09 Pamoja Youth Foundation Organized a community Music/Art Festival in Kibera. It featured local talent from Kibera, Africa's largest and one of the worst slums. Regardless of the conditions of the place, there are amazingly talented young people. This festival proved [once again...] that Kibera has very bright and creative artists in many fields including Rap, Hip Hop, Reggae, Dance, Spoken Word/Poetry, MC Skills, and organizational abilities as well. With a very limited budget, Pamoja regularly hosts these amazing and wonderful events. It is a true testament to the character and resiliency of the absolutely amazing people of Kibera and of Kenya and Africa in general. This video is part of a series from the festival. It was a wonderful day to come together and enjoy each other's company and music and art. Thank you to all who participated and helped to make this happen and to the on-going efforts of Pamoja Youth Foundation and many other community organizations in Kibera. The whole world has so much to learn from Kibera. What a wonderful and amazing place it truly is. We all have problems, but in Kibera, nothing will stop the spirit of the people. Nothing!
